I am assuming based on the fact you posted this in the Cars and Transportation section you are referring to a lien on your vehicle. They do put liens against vehicles for tow bills and things like that, and then of course when you finance the car with a bank. If you want to find out visit the local Clerk of the Court, and make sure you bring your drivers license and you VIN number. Good Luck!

There are no liens against people, only property. Check your property records at the county courthouse.

If you had a lien against you, you would have been formally notified(via USPS) by the town in which you live.

If you're trying to sell a house or other property, it will be discovered in the title search phase.
