Fanzines let you know all about the lives of remote famous people you will never have a realistic chance of meeting, you can find out what they do, what they like and what they hate, descriptions of their homes and family life...all the sort of things you find in the Bible when it talks about Jesus.

It is offensive. How would you like it if someone came on and insulted what you believe in? What if I said that whatever book you hold dear (Darwin or something) was just a fanzine and, being such, implied that it was fake. The bible teachings were around before Jesus, and the New Testament was written after. It is not a fanzine!

It doesn't offend me but if might offend some because it is easy to infer from your question that the Bible is just another book with no greater significance for a person's life than the ones you describe. To people who believe what the Apostle Paul wrote and who lack the understanding given in the second passage this might be offensive.

2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.

2 Corinthians 4:3 And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled only to those who are perishing. 4 In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 5 For what we proclaim is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, with ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake. 6 For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

Well, if you do that, that would be insinuating that all fanzines are made up.
