I have never been to Toronto but I am going next weekend. I booked "The Bond Place Hotel" Good prices, decent reviews on Trip Advisor. Its close to everything, about as cheap as you can get for downtown Toronto. The reviews said "a good, basic hotel, great location." Its not fancy, but if you don't plan on staying in your room 24 hours a day..it doesn't matter. The reviews also said it is a very clean hotel with small rooms.

It depends where you'd like to stay at. I recommend downtown. It will be really really cold in January and it would be nice to be close to subway. There are Holiday and Quality Inns everywhere. They are nice and not very expensive. If you are looking for a really nice place Royal hotel is good.
Yes, hotels have parking as far as I know.
Restaurants, we have all types of foods in Canada. If you like Chinese (all you can eat buffet) you can try Mandarin. Their food is excellent.
If you're looking for Greek food, ask for "friendly Greek" it's awesome.
Persian food: Saffron on Yonge Street.
Italian food: St Claire and Yonge.
I hope this helps.
Have fun and don't forget warm clothes!

On yet another holiday, I ate with a Parisian buddy at a eating position on the east end of rue de Turbigo. regrettably, i can't keep in mind the call of it right this moment. If I keep in mind the call, i visit edit this answer. i have also eaten at some places alongside rue Mouffetard that were quite good, yet back, i do not comprehend the names (sorry!). the in basic terms undesirable meal i have had in Paris (in 4 journeys, totalling about 35 days) became on the pizzeria for the era of from the IAE on rue Broca. in spite of the indisputable fact that, absolutely one of my acquaintances loved it adequate that she ate there 3 situations throughout the time of our 2-week stay!
