I have friends who are travelling to signapore, china, australia and south America. They are going for one and half years. Its is a couple and I want to get something they could use while travelling. Any ideas? they already have camera and travel bags etc.

Make a present basket that incorporates maps that are close by to that area. additionally throw in some shuttle books and any ideas you will discover on Cambodia. i do no longer understand the climate there yet while it is wet, throw in a poncho and umbrella. Don't laugh but when I was in North Africa some years ago I took a supply of paper underwear. It was comfortable and best of all no washing and drying. The paper was bio degrable too.
I wonder if it can still be bought?

First aid kit but make your own up with silly things in aswell as useful things and decorate the box with photos or messages, they will keep it with them the whole time they are travelling and it will remind them of you.
