Tell me about it, it makes absolutely no sense. Not only that, many of those that would be used are those that will be destroyed if they're not used anyway....so what difference does it make? I don't understand it myself.

The first concern is that the best ones come from aborted fetuses.
The second concern is that women will get pregnant and abort for the mere purpose of having the opportunity to make money from the donation.
The third is that abortions will dramatically increase as families below the poverty line use this as an excuse to have an income
(Don't laugh; I heard this as an "argument" against stem cell research)

a super form of persons are aginst it, yet some have diffrent motives. some its a non secular. a super form of christians (and different religions) see it as homicide which for sure is a sin. Others think of which will convey greater harm then good (i dont get that arguement personaly). some additionally worry it gets the ball rolling into unethical technological know-how like human cloneing..ext. for sure the different component to end and seem at is people who're suffering now, and ought to be givin a sparkling life with stem cellular reserch. Im personaly unsure, I dont think of all of us be attentive to adequate yet to truly say weither its perfect or no longer.

Because, in order to do embryo stem cell research, you have to first create an embryo. Meaning, you have to start a life and then you take that life away. I support imbilical cord research, where you take the stem cells in the imbilical cord after the child is born. I've known a few people who have donated their cords to science after their children are born. I agree that stem cell research will help mankind, but I'm against starting a life and then taking it away in the name of science.

The media did it.
The media did it.
The media did it.
There, I hope I've said it enough times that someone will actually listen lol. Our media, because of its nature, will not wait to find out about something in detail before reporting it. They slammed into the stem cell story without finding out the details, then left us all wondering about it. They implied things, tried to get us all in an uproar, then sat around wondering why everyone was so upset!

basically some people are of the faulty belief that a soul is attached or created or something like that, at conception... when the egg is fertilized.
and thus, to some beliefs the several week old embryo counts as a person.
which is bizzare really.

Because it will wreck the basic principle of major religions-CREATION. If man is able to create a life form, it will prove that their god does not exist.
