Not exactly. My son has a rare abdominal sarcoma that had metastisized throughout the abdominal cavity. He had high dose chemo for 8 months and a debulking surgery that removed 75% of the cancer. But unfortunately he still had live cancer so we needed to take a different approach. He had already taken his 'limit' of the first line protocol treatment. Our next step could have been radiation but we were reluctant to do that since it meant a whole body radiation. Instead we decided to go with an experimental surgery and intra-peritoneal hyperthermic chemoperfusion. The idea was to aggressively remove every single visible tumor within the abdomen. After the surgery they would heat Mytomycin C and pour it directly into the surgical area. It was hoped that this chemo bath would kill off the small and microscopic cancer cells that had seeded within the peritoneal cavity and onto the diaphragm. It worked for 8 months. We believe that is was successful because the prognosis for his type of cancer is pretty grim. Recently they found very small traces of cancer between the diaphragm and liver . . so we are back to square one.
My son would do it again though. He knew exactly what the risks were and was willing to try this treatment. He felt that if it worked than it would give others another treatment option and if it failed than that would be valuable information also.
Despite some of the things you read on Yahoo answers . . cancer patients are among some of the most courageous people I've ever met.

I wasnt a guinea pig for cancer drugs exactly but I have a type of leukaemia and took a trial drug called Anagrelide (its was supposed to be a safe alternative for the chemotherapy drug, Hydroxurea) I was on it for 2 years had terrible sides effects (palpatations, nausea, lightheadedness etc) It did bring my platelet count down but it made me feel dreadful. Eventually i had a letter from Cancer Research Trust telling me to stop taking the tablets because they had found that they had a large number of cases of people having fatal heart attacks so they said I should come off it!
If you have been asked to take a trial drug I would seriously think about the benefits it will give you first, weigh up the pro's and con's and ask the doctor to make sure you have all the facts about it first.
Hope this helps.

Yes, I've known people who have had or still have cancer. Yes, I've lost family and friends to cancer. I also know people who work in cancer research or for pharmaceutical corporations that have been personally affected by cancer. I don't know who you think the cancer research groups, FDA, and pharmaceutical corporations employ, but they're actually humans - nope, they're not aliens or robots - meaning they're not immune to cancer. Part of the reason many of them are working with oncology is that they're passionate about the cause because they survived cancer, lost someone to cancer, or know someone who's currently battling cancer. Yes cancer treatment costs money, and unfortunately it can cost a lot of money. There's a lot of people involved in cancer research, treatment approval, production, and administration - therefore a lot of salaries to pay and a lot of products to cover. You're still free to use alternative cancer treatments, but know that no one's hiding a cure as almost everyone, including those researching, approving, or selling the treatments, have been affected by cancer.

My friend Rose was about 50 when she first came upon a new natural kidney healing program. Her life had been devastated, literally ruined with stage 4 kidney disease. She had no life, no job because she was too sick to work, not enough energy to see her friends and sat around most of the time watching TV. She basically was waiting around for kidney failure and to start dialysis. She is much better now. She followed a natural method with great results. I have. I was diagnosed with brain cancer in 1996. I participated in several clinical trials, and my doctors have told me that the cancer is gone and they don't think it will come back.

Don't do it.
I have always believed that the mainstream medical industry is not interested in finding a cure for cancer because it makes too much profit with its present barbarous methods.
Eventually, I came across a detailed report which agreed with my findings, and I have included it in my web page at
http://dgwa1.fortunecity.com/body/cancer.html
By reading this report, you will also convince yourself that it is best to ignore the mainstream cancer industry, and seek alternative cures. Also you should bear in mind that the medical industry will do anything to protect its profitable position, including disparaging alternative healers or even creating bogus court cases.
I believe that cancer is a whole body thing, which in 80 percent of cases manifests itself by producing symptoms in the weaker parts of the body, and therefore appearing localised. It is this treatment of symptoms instead of cause which creates the profitable, yet non-successful approach of mainstream medicine.
Some cures are listed on the web page too.
It is therefore obvious that a holistic approach is required, based on cleansing, diet, exercise and debugging.
CLEANSING
The best way of cleansing is to fast.

but if a patient is too weak for that, or does not fancy the idea, then alternative cleanses are available.

DIET,
The best diet is vegetarian, avoiding all processed, frozen or micro-waved foods and drinks, and based on fresh fruit, fresh vegetables - preferably organic, nuts and seeds. Drinks should be clean water or freshly squeezed orange juice.
Many researchers promote the benefits of vitamin B17 as a healer. this can be found in the following foods:
Apple seeds, alfalfa sprouts, apricot kernels, bamboo shoots, barley, beet tops, bitter almond, blackberries, boysenberries, brewer’s yeast, brown rice, buckwheat, cashews, cherry kernels, cranberries, currants, fava beans, flax seeds, garbanzo beans, gooseberries, huckleberries, lentils, lima beans, linseed meat, loganberries, macadamia nuts, millet, millet seed, peach kernels, pecans, plum kernels, quince, raspberries, sorghum cane syrup, spinach, sprouts (alfalfa, lentil, mung bean, buckwheat, garbanzo), strawberries, walnuts, watercress, yams.
A commercial preparation of B17 is available called Laetrile.
EXERCISE
Exercise should be sufficient to create a sweat, but not sufficient to make you gasp for breath or feel over-tired. About one hours exercise every day is best.
DEBUGGING
There are various theories about how bugs create cancer.
Hulda Clark suggests that parasites are the cause, and that they can be disposed of by using a zapper.
Zappers are available from
