Why do men go bald but women (generally) do not?

Maybe we're naturally made up better than guys; women are the blueprint of the whole human race - we live longer too!

It's in the genes. Men have an XY chromosome and women have XX. I've heard that women dont' go bald as the second X acts as a bakup. Men don't have this backup which is why we go bald. However depending on the mix at birth some women can go bald.
It is also possible for men to have a YY instead of a XY, some physchologists believe the YY gene is located in the most violent chriminals we've seen. It is also possible for women to have an XY and carry characteristics of a male but physically be female.

It is a hormone that makes men go bald.
This hormone is more produced by men than by women, that is why women generally don't bald.

It is to do with testosterone levels men have higher levels then women generally and this is one of the main causes of male baldness.

Male pattern baldness is a result of testoterone levels inhibiting hair growth. Variation between men is due to the variation of genes between individuals as well as variation in individuals testosterone levels; some variations of the genes involved result in hair folicles that are more sensative, while other men are lucky.

its all in the hormones. if you have a low testosterone level, then you become bald. women generally have a high testosterone level so they do not go bald but men dont have it, so they do!

Only because the baldness gene is carryied by the woman gene but is recesive in them, so it doesn't manifest in women.

mainly because we do all the worrying and stressing and never tell the woman in our lives.....
If your at work, look around the room and see who is bald or who is going bald and watch them what they do with their hair, They are constantly rubbing it, running their hands through it, and eventually they shave it of because it bothers them so much....
The other reason, is that we have had so much of being refused by our partners of not going out because they are washing their hair, we decided at least that is one excuse we couldn't use!!!
