In my opinion, The Listerine whitening works great! I also use a baking soda and peroxide toothpaste and when you can chew a sugarless whitening gum after meals. You will see a difference.

There are lots of very good teeth whitening kits on the market that work really well but if you have problems with your gums (i.e Bleeding gums, gum disease or receding gums) they can be really harmful and do more bad than good.

Even if you have healthy gums, you should still be carefull not to get the product on them.

Alternatively, there are some very good stain removing toothpastes out there; one I really like is Eucerel Powder toothpaste which you can get from boots and are designed for smokers. Whether you smoke or not it really does make a difference.

The best whitening toothpaste is UltraBrite.

It has been proven to acually work better then crest white strips.

I looked into this in consumer reports. You can also make a baking soda and peroxide toothpaste and add speariment for flavor this works well also.

Baking Soda and Strawberries. Try to stay away from too much tea, coffee and sodas it will stain your teeth. Try Using Colgate Whitening Toothpaste or better ask you dentist what treatment to consider.

You can get loads of teeth whitening toothpastes in any supermarket or pharmacy these days.

Also you can buy tooth whitening kits. Think they start at about £15 and you can get them in places like Boots and Superdrug.

I am not advising you to do this but I found it so unusual I wanted to share this with you. When I was working there was a nurses aide from Jamaica who used to smoke and put the ashes in her hand and I asked her why. She said she would later rub the ashes on her teeth and then rinse them. The ashes make her teeth very white. I never actually saw her do it but that's what she told me. Maybe she was just pulling my leg. We did have ashtrays...
