Chervil is a herb, I think it belongs to the Dill family, which is quite similar. I use it with 'gentle' fish (sole, plaice, salmon, rather than the stronger haddock/kipper types) and it has a very nice ... nutty flavour.

it is very similar to parsley, but has smaller leaves and a less intense taste and aroma. You can use it for seasoning fish (broiled or pan fried sole, for instance), or otherwise have the lightest leaves mixed in a green salad.
