This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. About 85% of the people in this country are Christian, and about 45% of people consider themselves born-again. Sure, some of them are more Christians by name than by actions, but they have the same belief in god and wouldn't fit into a category of persecuting you. The president of the United States, most of the Senate, most of the House of Representatives, and the majority the supreme court identify themselves as Christian. This is the only country where we have kids being, or at least tried to, be fed religion into their classrooms. Your money says "in god we trust." How exactly is there ANY form of persecution against you? Because some people don't AGREE with you? Well guess what? Get used to that because ALL people have others disagree with them. You know what is a persecution? This is a persecution:

in short... they have no idea what real persecution is like.
if you don't have a real idea of what a negative thing is... the bar for what counts, to you, goes down.
so having not experienced real persecution, the bar lowers til it counts. which in this case, for most... is simply not being catered to 100% by everyone else.

None of us have been born again.... The question is how were we born in the first place?... it is similar in the reverse sense where we are born again... Christ said: No marvel that you must be born again.... it simply means that we came from one place to be born here..... and in order to get back, we must die to be born there........ Born again....... ((born here.. born there... Its death))..
However, to be persecuted as an American Christian is truth in this country.....
Because we can only practice Christianity at church... it cannot be practiced at school, in public places in mass, or at events.... Such can be fired if at work and may offend some others of other faiths.... Cant have the 10 commandments in the court rooms. Just to name a few of the things which have graced news reports.
So, yeah, persecution in this country, is mild.... But, it's persecution... So much is being removed and so much is being taken away from the American christian.....
The only way to see it, is to see it......

i might say actual no longer. If something, Evangelical, American Christians are those persecuting others. how many circumstances have we heard relating to the communities that are out picketing the funerals of our fallen infantrymen? how many circumstances have Evangelical Christian communities banned mutually to protest the rights and freedoms of others in accordance with faith, race and sexual selection? As I stated, Evangelical American Christians are those doing the persecuting. reward,

well first of all just because people say they are christians doesn mean they are, if i were to tell you that i was a auto mechanic doesnt mean it am or that i do a good job either, its just words not action - the bible says "faith without works is dead" yes we are saved by Grace but there has to be evidence behind it. our goverment says they are christian but do you think having a trillion dollar debt is christian? yet having this horrible high debt america spends a record breaking 500 billion in Iraq? about about the wealth inequality in the USA, i dont believe that is christian to me nor did that modivate me into coming to church either, yes i do agree with you on one part christinas have a dumb understand of being persecuted - now if they were being burned at the stake i can understand that their concern.

Does seem "holier than thou" for people to scream about the
10 Commandments being taken from courthouses. While
people in other countries are beaten, tortured, chopped up
with machetes, and murdered for being Christian!
Funny thing is, they forgive their abusers. How many in
wealthy countries would have this kind of love? Or CURSE
our Creator the minute things get tough?

Well in truth they are being persecuted not only by certain non believer but also by other Christian that do not like the way they believe. Also you have to remember that certain member of different religious sects are in it for the money and they will try to destroy other religious sect that can effect that flow of money........... So in truth we all believe in what we are told by some pastors that like driving big cars. So which group does the truth of God's word really exist in......................

If anything atheists are persecuted. try telling your family you don't believe in god. try telling the people at work or your neighbors. It sucks having to bite your tongue about how religion is fake. Now that's persecution.

Honestly, those who do this, do it simply because they hope it allows them to get their way. The religious right has a way of claiming that they support freedom of religion...providing its their religion and you agree with them. If you don't, you're persecuting them...
