Wow! That is a cynical viewpoint! ( If you actually believe that faithful people "ARE TRYING TO BUY THEIR WAY INTO AN AFTERLIFE!") But, I'll give you my answer, which is "NO!" Most who have beliefs about Christ and God, and Salvation, etc. are really convinced in their HEARTS that they will follow their Spirituality, because they love God, and Jesus, and whatever their particular beliefs about the afterlife are. Most true worshippers want to be with God in their next life, of course, but the fact that we believe in the "unbelievable", is a gift from God, not some "choice" we ourselves decided on.
I'm sure that non-believers couldn't understand the concept of FAITH, and that is too bad for them.

I have faith in God, I know he is there for me, I don't have faith in religion because man has changed it to suit themselves, and my faith has nothing to do with buying my way into the afterlife, because you don't really know what your talking about do you. You see you do not need faith, or to believe in God to go on the afterlife, even the non-believers find their way there.
To have faith in God, or yourself is very important , or do you have no faith in yourself, your family, your friends, maybe your all alone? Think about it.

Love & Peace

When I say I have faith in some ideology - I mean:

(1) I have found it to be fitting against the test of logic for consistency,
(2) I find someone living it - and realizing harmony,
(3) I find all my questions getting answered to satisfaction,
(4) I find it is auspicious/good for me,
(5) I find it is auspicious/good for all - without need for struggle.
(6) I find that it can describe a way for defining conduct for everything, including me.
(7) I find that all 'words' used here have 'meaning' - and that meaning has something tangible in existence.

No I mean I met with Jesus out of the blue, and had to finally face the truth, that God is who he says he is, and not who I want him to be. I actually believed I was good enough to get to heaven without bothering about Jesus but He set me straight. Note, this was a real experience of Jesus through the Holy Spirit, not a human telling me what to believe. I mean please, I'm an intelligent woman, I can find out for myself what is true.

Faith is confident assurance that what we hope for is going to happen. It's the evidence of things we can't see. That's why God gives approval.
And if those things don't happen then its for a good reason, for all things work together for good for those who love God.
Try it. Be on the safe side and hope for the best. God bless

Absolutely not. Whether we like it or not we are all goint to enter an "afterlife" when our bodies die. We are all spirits inhabiting these bodies to enable us to learn lessons and move on in life. We all have the right to believe in whatever faith we want. It does'nt really matter which one (as long as we don't use God's name to kill and maim others. That's my belief anyway!

Hbr 11:1 ¶ Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Hbr 11:6 But without faith [it is] impossible to please [him]: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and [that] he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

let that be your answer,
