Hey faithless. Look at you, your already on your way! Youve made contact with others just by asking.
Do get a therapist to help you if you havnt now. Having therapist no bad reflection on you. It shows how brave you are to face your fear and defeat it. All the best to you.

First of all you need to understand why and when you started having this difficulty in your life.
If you are working you might want to invite over a couple of colleagues and if you go into therapy which I think you will need in the future, I am sure that things will work out for you.
I believe in reincarnation and may-be in the past you must have had some trauma. There is this famous writer Brain Weiss that talks about our fears being part of a past life. May-be you can also check that out!!!! It is just a suggestion. Good Luck!!!!!

I think the important thing to worry about is how to get this person help. Its all very well being able to make friends from the comfort of your own home (try internet), but they're not going to want to come over to yours every time you want to hang out. There are pubs, clubs, places where there are other people to meet. If it's your friend who has the problem, help them face their phobia. If it's you, get help. It's really not that bad out there, don't become a hermit. I'm sure you've got more to offer the world than interesting chatroom stories. Good luck.

I'd tell her to go see a psychiatrist since she can't seem to remember the day before which could be a problem with short term memory. Also, it sounds like it could be a Social Anxiety Disorder. Since she can work and has no problem getting there, and supposedly, has no trouble at work, it's familiar and has been stored in her long term memory. She could be dealing with a physical problem too such as a tumor. This isn't something to play with. She really needs to get help.

Search for penpal sites and use snail mail to some and email to others...they'll match you up with people of similar interests. I used Penfriends International several years ago and made good friends in several countries.

Be honest about your problem. Invite them at home. Talk to them about how you feel and do something to work on it. Therapy is a good place to start. Don't let a little thing like that destroy your life. It can be cured you know!

Online, invite friends over, talk to a therapist who can lessen your fear of going out to the mall.
