If you say no then why? Why is it not a good area?

Great area. I went jogging through the park a couple of times while I was there. A nice, tranquil place in such a busy city. Had a blast. Book it.

There was a murder in the park a few years ago but it still one of the best parts of London. I would assume the hotels there are quite expensive, but if cost is no object it will be nice.

As for alternatives, there are lot of hotels in Bloomsbury (still nice, good location for British Museum and the West End, train stations etc but less dear that Regent's Park). Or try Victoria/Belgrave Road, near my home. It also has good transport links, is close to Buckingham Palace, parliament and other attractions, and has a LOT of guesthouses from which to choose.

Lovely area and pretty central for most of London. I would recommend it. Check out your room/hotel first to make sure you are not in a back street.

Its a beautiful open space in the heart of London. But you had better sit down before you start checking Hotel prices in that area.

It is the most expensive area in London for a reason, cause it is the nicest area in London. The American embassy is there, and celebs like Madonna live there.
It is definitely the best area you can book a hotel in, but it will be expensive.
(It is the London equivalent of New York's Park Avenue)
Ignore the first user, East London is the dock area and very scummy.

Regents park is THE best park in London.
Hope you have a large bank account though.
I live in London but can't afford to live anywhere near it

Carburton Street is the other side of the very busy Euston Road. But the general area is very nice.

Yes, it is a very nice part of London, and central too. You will also be in close proximity to London Zoo.
