My girlfriend receive a call from a male friend (which they have not met for 5 years) at 12mn, wanting to meet up with her. I ask her not to meet him now but tomorrow instead as it's rather late. But the reasons she gave is that he maybe in trouble and went on her way to meet him. Am i wrong to ask her to meet him tomorrow instead? Or is she right for my girlfriend to see him at that instance? Well it turn out to be just wanna meet up and talk about old time. My girlfriend is unharry that I try to stop her from seeing an old friend. Please advice. Thanks

Look honey, i think u shud talk to her, that u r concerned about her, if she is ur real girlfriend , then why dont u accompany her to meet her friend? he is merely a friend for her right, u r her boyfriend, it means u have that rights to go with her in this case and try to resolve her friends problem.

if she is not interested in going wid u, then just let her go. if she is really yours, obviously she'll come to U only, why r u worrying then.
just try to understand her and give ur all support to her, in dis situation.

ALL D BEST

i guess you were concerned for her safety. i thought you might want to suggest going with her. you dont have to meet him, just stay nearby for your girlfriend just in case anything happens.

in any case it's over so be gracious about it. tell her you were concerned and not stopping her to meet up. she'll understand.

i feel your girlfriend is being a good friend (cos she worries about him possibly in trouble). good for you! also, if he was indeed in some kind of emotional or other trouble, your girlfriend could help save a life by being there for him ya.

It sounds as if your girlfriend has poor personal boundaries. It also sounds as if her male friend is trying to sabotage your relationship and is "testing" how strong it is by asking her to meet him at midnight. It sounds as if she'll do anything for this guy, so beware...

If it were you wanting to meet up with an old female friend who had a boyfriend, why would you call at midnight. Sounds like she's up to something. You could've offered to go with her and if she said no, I would think they had something going on and wanted to pick up where they left off. If it were me and an old friend called and it were and emergency, I would feel privileged if my husband wanted to go with me. It would show he was supportive of me and show him I was not hiding anything. I'd be wary of her sneaking out on you...good luck.

the question is do you trust her?? would you have reacted the same way if it was a female friend?? i don't think i was unreasonable for you to ask her to stay, but i can see her point if she thought a friend might need her help.....you should admire that in her, being reliable. At the same time i do think this was kinda strange!

i think the thing is if he was in trouble, he should have said 'i'm in trouble with.... can you come over?' then there should be no problem. but she just left assuming, and if it was my bf i would feel little pangs, even if i trusted him. he may be making a play for her, and she may be unaware.
