I want to be a Geisha for Halloween, but the only dresses I can find are short, although pretty hot. I still want 'pretty hot', but I want a more traditional, long, form-fitting dress. Also, could I find a dress for around $50 or will I have to spend more?

Thank you!!

Why don`t you try to get them from their native country " Japan " through Internet?

I hope you have a lot of money because they aren't cheap. Most things are separate...most are custom made. No...the socks and sandals are not always included. I suggest you actually research the clothing that a geisha wears. It all has meaning. If you want to be authentic, you need to understand those meanings and how to wear certain parts a certain way. Go to a library, look it up on a search engine, read books, go to an Asian community center. But, more importantly....learn what and who geishas were. You sound like you don't have a clue and you really need to know if you're going to dress up like one.

I've seen dresses in the Oriental stores in the mall. You will have to look in the back of the store they normally keep the furniture and bamboo plants out front in the windows for people to see when walking buy.

I saw a real cute one on www.buycostumes.com but I think that was a short dress too!!
