Well considering that you will have to have Digital TV in the next couple of years anyway, then yes you should subscribe to one service or another. Now depending on what you want to see, will define what you need to get, so if you want lots of sport, then you are probably better off with Sky, and subscribing to the sports package too, but as pointed out above, there are many free sports channels on the basic sky package, but you find other events on one of their three premium packages.

Most tournaments which are shown are on Eurosport or sometimes Eurosport 2. The masters' series and some of the Grand slams are on Sky sports. Davis cup is also sometimes on sky, although Britain are normally on BBC or BBC interactive. Otherwise you'll just have to wait for Queens or Wimbledon which are on BBC. I think you'll need some kind of digital package

my mum is a big tennis fan and watches a lot of tennis on eurosport, which you can get through digital, but its not on freeview. There are some competitions like the big grand slams that they only show on sky sports which you have to pay more for.

you need to subscribe to eurosport and that....that is not digital tv....this is called top up tv..top up tv only includes a few channels so it is better to get sky...or digitaly+ top up tv
