Would you compromise your beliefs/faith/values to attain success?
Some of our friends or even relatives have done some sort of unacceptable behaviors to maintain their status symbol in the society. But we are not one of them, right?

That's a thought provoking question for some..as for me, I wouldn't compromise. Success is so temporary in the great scheme of things. It's very nice to be successful, but hopefully a person would be able to attain sucess, but still admire themselves for doing it, while keeping their beliefs. That would be the best way.
There are some celebrities who are extremely successful, and the interesting thing is that it seems that success alone isn't quite enough for them; they are quite humanitarian, involving themselves in great causes to help those less fortunate. They know that beyond material possesions or fame , power and all the glitz, there is still something more..So they generously give. That is really beyond sucessful. God bless people who believe and behave in that way. For their good deeds, and honor, they probably continue to succeed...as we cannot out give or outdo God.

I as a Christian will not compromise my beliefs. However, Christian is not universal. There are so many denominations, and churches claiming not to be a denomination, but all have different views. Some say this, some say that, but in the long run, we believe Jesus died on the cross for our sins. I hate that denominations have split Christians. The Bible does clearly say homosexuality is a sin, look at what happend to Sodom and Galorah. (I appolgoize for incorrect spelling). The bible days say abortion is wrong, because murder is wrong. God creates no accidents. I believe there are many luke warm Christians that exist today. These are the types of people who do not want to cause any chaos or stir among others. The Bible clearly states that the luke warm Christians will be spit out of the mouth. God wants us to be either hot or cold. I perfer to be hot. I have been bold with those who ask my advice. I was in a dating relationship that I had to break because I was not going to compromise my Chrisitian beliefs against his Christian beliefs. (very long story) It's not easy being a true Christian who is willing to stand up for what is right, and to correct those who are wrong. 2nd Timothy 2:24-26 "And the Lord's bond servant must not be quarrelsome, but be kind, top all, able to teach, patient when wronged, with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition, if perhaps God may grant them repetence, leading them to the knowledge of the truth, so that they may come to their sences and escape the snare of the devil having been held captive by him to do his will."

Success in life can only be obtained by remaining true to yourself & your beliefs, I always try to take whatever measures necessary to maintain my self respect. Without faith in myself & my abilities...I lose all that I am.

No I would not. All that I have and any success I may have, is because the Lord Jesus has seen fit to bless me with. If I compromised, so would He with me.

Compromise would be acceptable if for the benefit of another but not for yourself. Otherwise dishonesty should be substituted for the word compromise.

I'd rather be unsuccessful in life than compromise my beliefs/faith/values.

When I was younger, I probably did to an extent. As I got older I became stronger in my convictions and aware when I was untrue to my beliefs. I think most of us become more solid as we live and learn.

No, I would not. My values mean more to me than any material success or social status.

Since I am a success and have never done that, I guess I would say no.
