1. To work for such an organisation, you need to be a creative thinker. The fact that you have had to ask this question casts doubt on your intellectual skills. All you came up with was Amnesty International (which does not have any diplomatic status, by the way). You need to "think outside the box", and not expect other people to sort out your problems. Only then will you impress the interview panel. However I tend to take pity on the inept, so here is a little help.

2. United Nations - here is the entire organisation chart (showing WHO, UNHCR, UNAIDS etc) http://www.un.org/aboutun/chart.html

3. Here are the member agencies of the Disasters Emergency Committee (Oxfam, British Red Cross etc.) http://www.dec.org.uk/

4. Now start thinking for yourself. Think about the issues - the environment and conservation, war (including arms and munitions), ethnic conflict and endangered tribal people, development work, health care and preventive medicine, and so on. Now have some other organisations sprung to mind? If not, then you'd better stick with your current job.

Does NATO count? I would suggest that lots of charities in the UK have international branches/presence
