Wrong mix of words....high paying and art. Even high paying and college doesn't always work anymore. Best bet is to stay in school, try a bit harder, pay attention to details (like spelling, especially when spellcheck s available) because that's what high paying employers are looking for...good communicators, whether art or engineering. Only real answer to your question, and the scenario you've painted, is to become an art thief with a good fence.

Why do I have the sneaking suspicion an advertisement is about to be placed as an answer for this?
But hey, I'm game - porn. Porn is a job that is (relatively) artistic and creative, pays well (for what you do,) and requires neither collage nor college.
One note: Yahoo! Answers pages have no follow tags, so doing this kind of thing for SEO value is a waste. And considering how few people are going to read this, no matter how many times you post it, the link on the response you're going to leave for yourself won't be hit by enough people. Best stick to del.icio.us or spam Wikipedia.

we always want everything for nothing...good luck!
Call yourself Picasso and paint blindfolded, they'll never know the difference...MO MONEY, MO MONEY, MO MONEY!
How about an internship through college? Graphic Arts can lead to all kinds of careers. Computer animation is the highest paying these days. Just think of the high demands of production companies with computer generated animation over the last 10 years. You could also get into designing video games with the same education.
