Several factors go against Saurav:

1. Outspoken attitude
2. His affiliations with Dalmia
3. Politics in the selection committee
4. A Political leader as the Chairman of the BCCI
5. Recent poor form
6. In the bad books of Greg Chappel

Let us hope sanity prevails and Vengsarkar sets things right. It is a must for the team.

But he has done a lot for the Indian team and Indian cricket
as well. This should have been taken into consideration.
He has been sheerly unlucky. The selectors policies nowadays are , it seems, the moment an ageing player hits
a rough patch, throw him out.,to make way for youngsters.
A top class player like Ganguly deserves better.
Not long ago,he was rated with the likes of Tendulkar
