Both me and my boyfriend work monday to friday, but he doesn't drive so after I finish work I pick up my daughter and go and pick him up, then go home, cook dinner, sort out my daughter, then wash up and maybe sit down for a couple of houre before he gets a cab home. So come saturday and sunday I would like to do something for the three of us that would not include staying indoors or drinking in the pub, but before I can approach the subject we are either staying in with a dvd, a take away and a bottle of wine or going up the pub with his friends and then sleeping most of sunday because we are tired.

Do you offer alternative suggestions. Many times couples/family wind up doing routine, comfortable "stuff" because no one actually suggests something different. Saying "let's do something different," without offering specific suggestions won't accomplish much. Also, discuss this with your bf. Perhaps your bf is just as anxious to do something new, but without any inspiring input from you or your daughter, he will probably fall into a comfortable routine. Cut back on the length of time spent at the pub, and awake early Sunday ready for a family outing. Compromise is always possible. Good luck

It depends upon the relationship between the couple.. Love makes the things better. Understanding each other is important. Doubt is the biggest enemy that will spoil the life.

That is a generalisation. But i'd say many men are happy to do that on a weekend. I was like that but my G'Friend is a strong person and won't allow me to be lazy and let the weekends pass us by..
You need to be stronger with him, explain you want more from life!!

Coz you tell us that you like men to be men and take charge and organize. So we do and its wrong.
If we leave it up to the women to decide we are wet and incapable of forward planning. So make your mind up girls, which do you want?

Scarily enough, most of my female friends are like your boyfriend in that they decide everything and just expect you to go along.
Just don't go along and tell him you have plans and make plans.

He sounds quite selfish to me. But I might not be aware of the fact that you want something else? Why don't you ask him if you could do something else next weekend? Be spesific.
Good luck! :)
