Everyone is different, we are all unique, some are percieved as strange and are feared or ridiculed becuase of societies influence. Edward is the little boy that we all lauged at in 3rd grade because he had a hairlip. or a clubfoot. But that child grew up to become the man that would give us free energy by cold fusion. or not.
Its a good story, and it does have a point if one looks.

There is lot more to it. It shows you how important it is to have hand and fingers instead of scissors, it shows you that Johny Depp is so sexy even if he playes for example dustbin, how people are totally shallow if someone is "different" to what is "expected". It tells you love has no barriers, women gossip too much and make trouble. Fantasy with lot of reality bites
