No, he's playing a game of saving face. He's forgotton its real people that are dying - if he ever knew in the first place.

Bush will never pull out of Iraq, why should he he has his 2 terms in office and dosen't need to worry about another election. So American lives will continue to be wasted in this nation building effort which Bush has said he would never get into.

I don't think so! He keeps talking about pulling out and for a brief while it makes everybody feel good but it wont happen. I don't know too much about American politics but some people on here are afraid of the Democrats getting in and America pulling out, that wont happen either. What will happen is that most people wont bother to vote, the Republicans get in again and not much will change.

We should judge actions and not words. Prior to elections, politicians will say anything.
There are fourteen permanent bases in Iraq and about 144,000 US troops (about 10% of the army) plus mercenaries and troops from other countries.
The actual talk is of sending more talks now.

No since he does not want the democrats to win even tough they will win some. His decision for Afghanistan was coorect but in Iraq he blew it since they had NO PLAN.
