Whoever proposed it needs to be publically beheaded. Why the hell would you think of building a super highway clear across texas before building a border between us and mexico? I mean seriously, is this person mentally retarded? BUILD A ****** WALL! I bet building a wall not only would be cheaper but it will SERIOUSLY decrease illegal immigration by a billion percent, shlt it just might ****** reverse it. God, sometimes I just feel like giving up my faith in the human mind and reasoning. UGH!! I am going to move to new york if this "trans texas corridor" passes. I mean its completely pointless, we dont need it, you have to TAKE alot of land from people in order to build it! Jesus Christ! Heres a diagram of what it is incase you dont know. Scroll down to see where they are planning on putting it and feel free to read what the proposal is.

Compare that road to "The Big Dig" in Boston. There is going to be a lot of insider wealth made if that road goes through. This isn't about convenience, otherwise they would have put it through West Texas. This is outright theft, by Imminent Domain, of some of the most valuable property in Texas. This road does nothing for the people of Texas.

A trucker named Earl Nesmith. He proposed it as a joke, but when people took him seriously, he decided to run with it. I wouldn't mind the corridor, if they also built an Amtrak station and track that ran right beside the new highway. Or better yet, how about a big fat train that you can drive your car on and spare your mileage.
