In most parts...
I live in a small village, though ,and there are quite a lot of houses which up until very recently, were living without electric.
A lot of the houses now run off solar power, as they do not have the funds to fit electricity to the whole town.
There are planty of places like that still here in Spain!

They cut off the elctricity a few hours on a certain day to cool the electricity generators (Sudan).
I live in the UAE tho'.

In south africa it is of very high quality, yes. I suppose its because we are still a devolping country. The only places with no electicity or rather little of it are in the remote farmlands in the countrysides.
