Instead of offering one child the life of a pop star's son Madonna could have offered a less luxurious but still much improved life to a whole orphanage full of children. What was her motivation for 'rescuing' just one boy?

She did spread her wealth across a larger noumber of children. She donated £1.1m to healthcare for Malawian children. Her motivation for rescuing David was genuine i feel but as always the press have to make a meal of it.

Yes, she can support the entire orphanage, create medical care or create a hospital for children in Africa, like St. Jude started in the USA by Danny Thomas.
She could then adopt as many American children as she chooses.
This way her legacy would live on for generations to come. It may also wipe out so much of the negative and sacrilegious things she has done in life.

She has and will continue to do so. She's started a foundation and is supporting the construction of orphanages and medical facilities. Press seems to be missing that part of the deal aren't they? Heck, I don't even like her music or videos but I do admire the fact she is doing what she endorses by taking action.

And why is a foreign adoption more valid than a domestic adoption?

If she wants to adopt one child, let the poor woman do it. She probably gave a whole bunch of money to the orphanage.

I think she did, she has set up and is funding a hospital/orphanage.

It is her life and her perogative. Woulld you like someone telling you what to do with your life and your money? It's her money and her life, I say let her do what she wants with it. Who knows--maybe she'll leave all her money to charity when she dies :P

yeah but when ya think about it, who knows where your money goes. you dont!!! so i cant say she did the wrong thing.
