My brother is doing a school research project on Majorca and, as always, has left it to the last minute. He needs to ask 10 (or more people) questions about Majorca and I thought here would be his best bet. If you've been before could you answer the following:

What attracted you to Majorca?
What area of the island did you stay in?
How long did you stay?
What sort of accomodation did you stay in?
What did you like most about Majorca?
What, if any, problems did you encounter (ie noise, crime, spoilt landscape)

thank you so much in advance!

1. It was a cheapy holiday in the travel agents
2. Stayed in accommodation on arrival in Porto Colom
3. Stayed for one week
4. Self catering apartments
5. The weather, there was a heat wave at the time we went
6. Because we were so far out of the way, it was basically where the Spanish are housed. It was really noisy at nights and to be honest wasn't the cleanest of places. Maybe its cos of the week we had but i wouldn't go back

The island of Mallorca ( Majorca) off the east coast of Spain is the largest in the Balaeric Island group, which collectively form one of the most popular holiday destinations in the world, and certainly in the Mediterranean. see http://www.spain4uk.co.uk/balearic_canary/mallorca.htm
