Youtube only needs Flash player, nothing else so if you've already upgraded to the latest version of Flash then there's something weird going on.

You don't need to update java or any of the codecs like the previous posters have suggested.

My advice:

Try a different web browser. These are both excellent:

http://www.opera.com
http://www.getfirefox.com

I think some websites do not allow vedios to be viewable in all regions. I was in Japan a while back and I faced the same issue in another website. The website said that the vedio is not supported for Japan region. Maybe its due to restriction in some regions. But I can view the same video while I am in India..so as long as you have macromedia player & java installed on ur browser it should show you vedios in most of websites ..but not sites which have region specific restrictions.

In case you cannot view in any other website too then the problem needs to be investigated more. Hope I was helpful.

Try another kind of media flash player, until what you want to watch comes forth. There are many different types of videos, as well as ways to view them. I know if you have a Mac, any hotmail pics or videos will not work with what you have now, unless you have a hotmail acct.-you might try getting one, and see if it helps! It can't hurt! They're FREE! Plus, it depends on the type of computer you have and what it has capabilities for downloading and installing. Are you sure that the ones you downloaded have also been installed?

If you are using internet explorer, go to Tools>Internet Options>Security
click on custom level
select internet zone and in settings, scroll down to active x controls and plug-ins
make sure "run active x controls and plug-ins" is enabled
click ok, and ok again
you may need to restart your browser

It could be a codec issure - being that you don't have the right codecs on your PC to play the videos. Try downloading a codec pack from this site: http://www.free-codecs.com/K_Lite_Codec_Pack_download.htm
Give that a go!
