Actually, Windex works, but, it needs a little help.

I learned a little trick that shocked me and it works on ALL glass, mirrors, anything like that, old or new-----
----NEWSPAPER.

THE PAGES WITHOUT COLOR WORK THE BEST.
Also,
DON'T USE THE SHINY PAGES
if you just have to use newspaper with color on it

Just take a few pages and wad them up, not too tight, spray the surface with ANY glass cleaner or vinegar or ammonia ( large areas do a section at a time ) and wipe with the newspaper. You don't have to be gentle and when it gets too wet just flip it over or get another couple of pages and continue until you're done. I usually turn mine inside out several times to use all the dry area.

This is the best thing I've found for my car windows - EVER.

Newspaper doesn't leave streaks, lint, or marks and, actually last through quite a few panes. If there are any when you are done then you didn't do it right. And it totally cut down the glare. People have walked into my glass doors after I cleaned them because they thought that they were open.

Good Luck !!

A microfiber cloth and water (just a bit) works wonders. So does a mixture of 1/2 window cleaner and 1/2 rubbing alcohol mixed in a spray bottle. This also works great on stainless steel, counters, appliances. And the rubbing alcohol makes the cleaner disinfecting to boot. And it's cheap! But my favorite way to clean glass of any kind is with a steamer and a microfiber cloth. The problem with many of the window cleaner sprays is that they leave a film which ends up attracting more dirt. The steam leaves no residue. However, the first time you clean glass with steam, expect it to take awhile because you have to get all that "film" off but then your windows/mirrors will be spotless and stay that way for much longer!

I hate Windex. Use a spray on foam window cleaner. You can get this at a hardware or cleaning supply store. No drips.running,or streaks. Also try shaving creme (foam). Use in bathrooms and mirrors will be fog free!

Newspaper or paper towels and rubbing alcohol.
Sometimes our cleaning rags have residue from other things in them and leaves streaks on glass.
I clean all my mirrors and picture frames with alcohol....They look great.

Put a pair of rubber gloves on and get a bucket of very very hot water and some newspaper.
Dip the clean sponge into the bucket of hot water and wipe the mirror then wipe it dry with the newspaper. You don't have to spend a fortune to get good results.

TRY USING MENS' SHAVING CREAM. NOT ONLY CLEANS THE MIRROR PUT PREVENTS THE STEAM FROM GETTING ON IT.
