Democrats. And if the democrats wouldn't be around, I'd rather vote for the devil than for republicans.

I'm not really sure. Well lol if it was tomorrow I couldn't vote, but come 2008 I can. I can't base my opinion on just rep. and dem., I would have 4 years ago. But this election means too much and I have a feeling that America is going to **** it up because there ignorant and can only see things on media and don't do there own research for themselves. Or my generation will just go vote and listen to there parents because there democrats or republicans. That's so annoying.

Either way whoever wins can mess it up with the public. They can either stay there and get on everyones bad sides or pull out and cause hell to break loose in Iraq and see us as weak. Whatever I choose affects a lot of my friends in the military and my own brother who has a possibility of being deployed in '07 overseas. So i'm not sure, i'll probably be learning a lot of things for this election. But I can say i'll never vote straight ticket.

Well, the economy has withstood some pretty major catastrophic events over the past half decade, so the present political party in power has done something right. Our country has not had another terrorist attack since 9/11, so the present political party in power has done something right. Unemployment is at 4.6% which means that 95.4% of the available workforce is presently employed. That is pretty impressive. This also means that the present political party in power has done something right. There are more people and especially more people of minorities that own their own homes in our country than at any other time in history. This means that the present political party in power has yet again done something right.

Be it known that none of these accomplishments have occured due to bipartisanship. The present political party not in power has fought against the political party in power every step of the way. They have been obstructionists and attempted to undermine our President and his Administration on every major issue that has come before Congress and even more disturbing, they have contributed to the division of the people inside this country. Without even a hint of reservation, they have actively promoted discourse during a time that our country needs to come together to show a united front.

So, to answer your question, If there would be an election for president tomorrow, who would I vote for? To help preserve *my* country and to keep our country moving forward economically and because I see absolutely no hope of the Democrat Parties willingness to work together with the Republicans, I would have to say I would vote Republican.

That is a sad, sad thing to say considering I am a registered Democrat. There are some things that are more important that blindly voting one Political Party ticket. To be honest with you, I believe the way you phrased your question is part of the problem. Instead of pointing to the importance that we should be voting on the issues and on present day political agenda's, accomplishments and willingness or unwillingly in the case of the Democrats to work together unilaterally with the opposing side you want people to simply give a thumbs up or down to one political party over the other as if nothing else matters. Just look at the answers you received. It's either or for most of these people and some of them can't even give logical reasons why.

And what is most sad? I highly doubt you will take into consideration one thing I have said because according to the questions you have asked other than this one, you are only capable of seeing things one way, the Anti-Bush way.

Reading these answers it's really sad to see that there is so much hate in the world. It's like we are two completely divided countries. How can half the people see things completely one way while the other half See's them in a completely different way. America is supposed to be different but does different mean hate? I guess if I were to pick from either of the two choices I'd possibly say a Democrat. Only because if Hillary Clinton is running she does have some of the same ideas that I do. I don't care for her on alot of issues but on the main ones we agree. I feel the same way about our current president too. I don't always agree but I do on the most important ones.

Republican. Honestly, i'm scared for the next election. The media has done such a good job of getting the public to hate Bush, that I know a democrat will be elected. This new president will then do exactaly what the public wants and pull out of Iraq. This is going to get us attacked again and again,
Basically, right now the world sees the US as a bully. But, we're a bully who fights back. If we back out, we will literally be giving up and admiting defeat, and i can easily see any an all countries that are upset with us attacking us, because, after all, we just give up if the fighting gets hard.
I'm so fed up with the media, and the US public. We need to trust the government to do thier job, and be appreciative when they do. Otherwise we'll get someone like Clinton in office who everyone loves because he didn't take any negative political actions. Instead he didn't do ANYTHING and the only thing he's known for is the entire Lewinski scandal. Some president...
I honestly think if we have a democrat in office next, it will be the beginning of the end of the US as a world power...

Neither. I am an Independent and vote for my party and if we do not have anyone to run then I will vote for a Democrat or Republican depending on who they are, their voting record, their beliefs, how they feel about the middle class, the war in Iraq, illegal aliens, health problems, social security and so on.

Democrats! This country is on the wrong track and has been for, wow, almost six years now. Congress has been too willing to go along with the President's failed policies and since we can't get rid of him yet, we might as well get rid of the people who are handing their legislative rights (responsibilities, really) over to him.

I would vote for Democrat Barack Obama, a man with intelligence, sensibilities and leadership. To those who say that say that he has insufficient experience, I say just look where all those experienced politicians have put us. Do you want more of the same? I think not.

I see a person above says the media is trying to make us hate President Bush. Apparently she doesn't listen to Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, Shaun Hannity, Bill O'Reilly or any of the lesser right-wing pundits. I would say Bush is well represented in the media.
