DDR,DRAM,DDRAM,DDRS,TGB,SDRAM,no idea. a 512m stick is about $80, a 1g stick about $120. But it all depends on the Hardware, Microsoft does not make that Computer work, it only Interperts data. The Hardware is what makes things happen, the Software makes it appear on the screen.

well it all depends on your computer and what you have. But for instance on my apple macintosh laptop, I paid over 500 dollars to upgrade to a 2 GB SDRAM. So it can be costly. A lot of times you can order from companies that will send you the memory and you install yourself which can be cheaper. But you also can hurt your computer doing it yourself and if you do it voids any type of warranty you may have.

try to stay with reputable brand such as corsair or crucial if you budget allows.Go to crucial technologies.com and use their free computer scanner to see what your computer needs and/or can handle(if you do not know) and armed with that info surf away and find your bargain. It would also help if you downloaded "EVEREST FREE HOME EDITION" to your comp. as this program will tell you EVERYTHING about your comp. including the open slots you have, the motherboard you have, the programs you have, your L-1 and L-2 cache size and etc.,etc.this can also be made into a report and printed out to carry with you to your parts store or technician so you don't have to bring in your comp. to see what you can add or not.
