Those laws are changing. In certain states, such as NY where I live, it's legal for a girl to go topless in public anyplace a guy can. More and moire girls are going topless on "regular" non-nude beaches, sunbathing in parks topless, being topless at friend's pools etc. Last summer myself and another girl played basketball topless in a "shirts vs. skins" game with some friends from college (guys and girls). Some people stared, of course, but nothing negative happenned and we all had a great time.

Bare skin is really no big deal, after all, and nudity or toplessness in appropriate places should become more accepted every year as more girls get into it.

Let's hope so...

Why is it so? why is it the man always allowed to do so many things than a woman. If an old man gets a young girl no critics if Demi Moore gets a 19 year old the roar of the tabloids is frightening. I wonder why? Why a man can have so many wives when a woman cannot. What is the problem of the woman being topless they're sexier than man having hairy chest, skinny chest etc. A woman is sexy and more attractive wouldn't it's more appropriate for woman to walk on the street topless than man.

I researched about that so what I found is this. Breasts are misconcepted to be sexual organs. This is because some men find exposed breasts arousing. Also, exposure is not allowed by some religions. This is my opinion: If there was a place where all men respected women deeply, exposure of breasts would be fine, I think. So I think what makes it not allowed is some people. Exposure of the nipples of a woman can be allowed IF people don't find it uncomfortable. I really like your question. It's the type that makes me think.

It would be great if we can go topless, if we want especially if it's really hot and if we need to do chores. I can't stand those stupid wire bras. Me personally, I wouldn't go completely topless at a supermarket or something but if I'm doing yard work or washing the care I would like the choice although I would probably choose to wear a tank top with no bra more often than the other. Why?

Because if I need to switch quickly from one task to another task that requires me to talk to people who stop by randomly at my place that's why and I wouldn't think they would take my opinions as seriously if I'm moving around having my breast bounce up and down in front of them (although if they're male guests that would just make their day, not mine).

Actually, in Canada they can - as long as its not done in the procurement of sex. Canadian women took it to the Supreme Court quite a few years ago, and won.

So, in Canada, women can go topless the way men can.

Any opinions from any Canadian women?

I am a man, and I feel it is wrong that women do not have this same right, hell I would gladly give up my right to go topless, just so that women would be free to do so. I say we call congress and end this injustice once and for all!!

I'm a guy and I find it outrageous!!!! Should allow the women (until like age 50 tops) to go without a shirt if they wish.
