1g/cc of water is 1 ml
1000g/1000cc of water is 1 litre (1000ml)
1kg/1000cc of water is 1 litre
1000kg/1000 x 1000 cc of water is 1000litre
1 ton/1x10^6cc of water is 1kL
1 ton/1cubic meter of water is i kL

It depends on the density of the material. Others have already told you that 1 cubic metre of water weights 1 ton. Mercury for example has a relative density of about 13.5. This means that it weighs 13.5 times more than water. Therfore 1 cubic metre of mercury would weigh 13.5 tons. Oil on the other hand has a relative density of about 0.8 (it depends on the oil). As a result 1 cubic metre of oil would wiegh 0.8 tons or 800Kg.

Guess u got it all mixed up or hv posted an incomplete question.
1cubic meter= m^3= 1,000,000 ml= 1000 litres
it's a unit of Volume.
1 MetricTon= 1000 Kgs
it's a unit of weight/ mass
Assuming you are asking about water, specific gravity =1 g/cc= 1MetricTon/m^3,
1 m^3 water would weigh 1 MetricTon.
for substance of any other value (say x) of specific gravity(s.g.)/ bulk density( b.d.), multiply this value with it's sg/ bd
i.e.,
Weight of 1m^3 substance = x * 1000 Kgs

density = mass* volume.
cubic meter is volume and ton is mass.
thus to compare mass and volume u should pick some material. eg. 10cubic meters of steel = -----tons
