it will tell you when its downloading exactly how long you will wait. downloads pop up at the bottom section of the screen.
the better the quality the longer it will take. look at the bitrate on the line the movie/song is on for quality: higher bitrate means more information per second, and better to watch. well, at least it should mean better quality.
respect copyrights where you can though.

FIRST, use http://frostwire.com as it is the FULL and FREE program, upon which limewire Pro (that they want you to PAY for) is based.
then, search for the title, and I always sort so the biggest files are all together, and then, I can see the real, and large, files. Most small files are virused, or spoofs, or fakes. I choose the .avi, or .mpg that I want, and highlight it, click 'download'
After that, I go to the Library, and I watch the movie, and then if it is OK, I burn it to my stack of CDs or DVDs... two different stacks.
Then, share it, or, erase it after about 14 days. Or never... Most, I have the real DVD, but, I want to watch movies on my Linux computers on my network, and this is easier for me... though my Linux systems play DVDs really well.
I run http://pclinuxos.com that includes Frostwire, and 2 Gb more, and runs live, in the CDrom. I make a share folder on the hard drive.

the best format to watch is DivX
so best thing to do is first to download a Divx player http://www.divx.com/divx/windows/download/?tiger_aff=s&cc=A_fcid=000047&gclid=COOBrqaplogCFR68QgodzDpDAA
then just go limewire,
click search, scroll down and press video
type the name of the film you want to watch
press enter - and a list of movies (should) come up. Sometimes it doesnt >.<
double click on the movie you wish to download (preferaby with a DivX format) - let it download then just open file and enjoy =)
