Car is Nissan Primera 1998 2 L, we drive the car normally and only on sealed roads. Has anyone heard of a reoccuring problem with older Nissan Primeras. The car is a brialliant car apart from this. We have also had the CV joints or boots repaired over a year ago as well. So we are not sure what to do next

An incorrectly torqued axle nut can cause wheel bearings to fail early.
I found a site here http://www2.vsm.skf.com/usa_english/node948.aspx
that shows pictures of different types of damage, if you click on the picture it will tell you what causes that type of damage. Hope it helps, good luck.

The P10 and P11 Primeras' are mechanically the same(91 to 98 models). Now which end are you talking about? the fronts are sealed units and improper installation will cause premature failure( that is bashing them in with a hammer). The rear ones are a tapered roller bearing and overtightening them will cause excessive heat build up and failure in a very short time. Best you check with a reputable and experienced workshop to find the cause

They shouldn't need replacement every 4 months, so something is wrong. Could be bad installation of the wheel bearings. For this problem you HAVE to get it fixed, as it won't fix itself, and could lead to a very expensive repair down the road. Take it to a certified GOOD mechanic.

Because you keep paying some shyster to fix what he messed up in the first place. Why should he do it right if you keep giving him money to screw it up? Find an honest mechanic.

Either bad grease is being used, or the wheel bearings are being installed incorrectly.

well, what probably happened, the first time they went out, it scuffed the journals they roll on, so everytime you put new ones in, they are being tore up by the journal. either try to get new seats, or the entire knuckle.
