If you have 3 pc's with static IP's and there is one PC workstation that has FTP going thru a router

Port forwarding has to be enabled on the router. Port 21 public has to be forwarded to port 21 and the IP address of the internal machine.

Which FTP server and client are you using?

If your ISP has blocked port 21, you can usually configure the server to work with a different port (preferably not one that's already reserved....), and your client, too.

Once you then forward the port on your firewall to the machine with the FTP server on it (remember it needs a static IP), it should all work. Provided you tell your client to use the different port.

Most isp's block port 21 - they dont want FTP's running without you paying for a nice line.
