Its what we do. Do we complain when you go for a girly night out or shoe shopping with your mates?
Sometimes its good just to cut loose and be a bloke

The whole point of them having a day at the football is so they can have a drink with the boys and forget about the girlfriend as well as all other responsibilities for the day. It's just a normal release. Don't you ever gossip with your girlfriends? Same kind of thing. Don't take it personally. I'm not sure what this has to do with growing up. If a man takes care of his responsibilities, surely he should be able to do this til the age of 90 should he choose to. Maturity doesn't mean that a person can't act the fool now and then as long as he has his life under control once the outing is over.

For those women going out with or married to football fanatics - the answer is NEVER. So the answer for you is to find a man (there are some of us) who couldn't give a monkeys about football or indeed any other so-called sport and who believe sportsmen (and women) are in general paid way too much and become real BRATS.

This is a time honoured tradition you are talking about, in a lot of cases the thought of coming home to be regalled by tales of the daily shopping expedition is enough to drive any man to the pub

if you care to read the FA rule book, page 77 section 3b states ( at the end of each game all players MUST go to the pub and get hammered, failure to do so will result in a 3 match ban)

He will never grow up and never change. I told my girlfriend that I like football before we started dating. I told her to hate it or try and have fun with it. She chose to come along with me instead of bitching about it. We have great times at the bar, and we are getting married later this year. Get off your high horse and try to enjoy it.

Ditto with the last answer.
Its the same as girls going shopping and doing a sexinthecity cocktail day.
You might want to consider dating someone who doesn't go to football matchs.
