you are not the only one looking at that question thousands of people are on answers at one time
it says be the first to answer
but in the time that you write ,ten other people have submitted their answer befor you
some computors and web connections are faster than yours as well ,some very fast.

People all over the world look at yahoo answers & post answers. Given that there are so many people in the world, isn't it conceivable that others click on the same question as you at the same time? It goes from when you post your answer, not from when you click "be the first to answer".

I guess it just took you a while to type out your answer... at least longer than it took the other people..... Or have you considered the possibility that people were already composing their answer before you even clicked on it?
