The Windows Key (the one with the windows logo) is not working.
The keys are going haywire,
Examples:
The letter D, when pressed, minimizes all applications.
The letter E, opens the windows explorer.
The letter L, logs you out of you xp account.
The letter U, open the utility manager.

well.. i m not sure about what really those problems are...

but then.... just an advise.... try not to buy compaq again...

cuz i had problems with compaq computers be4...

currently using ASUS's...

The Window key is stuck (one of them)
Try working the key many times with full pressure.
If the problem isn't fixed I suggest a new keyboard as this most likely will start happening with other keys.

Did you spill something on the keyboard lately?

all you have mention above work when you press them along with windows key logo button
for e.g win key+ E open the window explorer etc



the problem is that your winkey is internally press all the time i think something got stuck under it or might be of any other reason

so try to change the button and check to bring up the button and check the problem was there or not.

problem with your win key . u use external keyboard with usb plug or PS2 port as compatibility of your notebook

disable the quick launch program at hte bottom right of the screen

go buy another keyboard..throw that one away..any keyboard will plug into that computer , and they only cost $10..-$20.00
