Le and Les are indirect object pronouns. Le is used if the object is singular. It doesn't matter if it is masculine or feminine it's always le if it's singular. It can also be used as an indirect object for a person not just a thing. So le would just refer to (to,for) you or (to,for) him/her. (If it was a direct object you would use lo or la depending on if it is mas. or fem.)

You use les if the if the object is plural. Or if the indirect object is people and is (y'all or them) plural you would use it because it would refer to (to,for) you all or (to,for) them (If the object was a direct object meaning it's receiving the action then you would
los or las depending on if the group is mas. or fem.)

You would only use la, el, los and las as articles meaning the. (hope it helps) :)

You don't use either in Spanish; you use "la" and "las" for feminine objects, and "el" and "los" for masculine objects.
