There are so many, when I wasn't in scholl I would a whole book in one day. Almost anything by Stephen King (I didn't like the Gunslinger Series), Dean Koontz' are all really good, anything by Douglas preston and Lincoln Child )with the exception of the Ice Limit series), Jeffery Deaver is awsome, Jonathon Kellerman and his wife Faye Kellerman are really good, Michael Connelly is great, I could go on , but I think you get the picture. I didn't even list any of my sci-fi favorites!

The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver. It is amazing how She can write in the first person in so many different characters and still the flow of the story is smooth. It is so interesting to see the same story by the different perspectives of the characters.

I agree with Genie, the Godfather was stellar! However, I love everything I read by Frank Herbert, particularly his first Dune book.
