Yo peeps, stop answering this question, I want it!!! There is a reason...no one's quite sure what it is though. Economics focus's on this alot. It might not be so much that they want to hog some "thing," rather a person feels better if he does not forgoe giving up something. So before someone hogs something, they might think of what will happen if they don't take something; they then come to the conclusion that it will be better to take than to use their time to "not take."

Greed.

Some people pride themselved on acting greedy. There is a poem out there about greed which supposedly is a motivational verse for rich folk and wannabes.

On the other hand, some people who didn't have much in the past may see what is in front of them now and hog it in fear that they won't have it again one day.

Some people don't even realize it.

Reasons aren't always reasonable, as in logical. They just want the item or space because they desire it. Btw, did you ask for a reason?

They are reared that way. When you find people who carry and exhibit greedy, self-centered, selfish ways, it comes from their upbringing.
