Why does it seem that 99.99% of the questions in the forum are about wrestling entertainment and not about "real" wrestling like freestyle or Greco Roman? ECW, WWE, TNA, etc. are not "real" wrestling.

yeah ECW, TNA and WWE are not real, but they have huge publicity and coverage plus storylines are entertaining. freestyle , greco roman -- never heard of them before, that's why no coverage , hence no interest and no Questions, literally.

To answer your question one must note that WWE, ECW, TNA take up 4 out of the 7 days in the week totaling 6 hours. This is not including the internet show Heat, and the RAW AM. The fact that these "fake" wrestling programs are on TV shows why people are more into it. Ive never seen Greco Roman or Freestyle wrestling on TV except when its the Olympics. But the Wrestling Entertainment has been around for a long time. And yes, Greco Roman has been around for a longertime, but it has never really caught on with fans, except once every couple years in the olympics. Also, only a select few are interested enough in "real" wrestling to actually go find it on the internet and watch some matches. Its all about entertaining oneself, and thats what WWE/ECW and TNA bring to us.

Thats just what i think...

Professional wrestling?Professional Athletic Entertainment.
Yes they are athletes and they are good but in the truest sense of the words they are choreographed moves.
Freestyle and Greco Roman wrestling is the heart of where the sport started.

Because, sadly, more people are out for the entertainment than the actual competition itself. That is why wrestling entertainment is more dominant here and everywhere else. Although I wish REAL wrestling would give the attention it so richly deserves. That's why the only wrestling entertainers I really like come from wrestling background, like Bret Hart, Chris Benoit, and Kurt Angle, because they are the closest you will get to seeing ACTUAL wrestlers in wrestling entertainment.

Ok it's not real wrestling huh? Well why don't you take that subject up with Mick Foley? Tell him his injuries don't really exist because what he was doing was not real wrestling. Or Owen Hart he is dead because he wasn't really wrestling(I realise he didn't die actually wrestling). Something is what you make of it. Crapping all over someones business like that is just plain rude. It is just simply planned wrestling. The injuries are real, just like the wrestling. The wrestlers have the advantage of being on the books more often whereas in"real" wrestling they can be off for months with constant injuries. Just leave off huh?

only the story lines are fake, if you look at luchadors like Rey mysterio or the late great Eddie guerro the had to train for years to get the skill they have today, or Chris Benoit or Kurt angle they wrestle real and have got medals for real wrestling, or if you look at big show or Kane they might not actually make it look real but they could still beat someone up easily.

Yeah. I hat TNA THE MOST!!! They SUCK. The announcers are fake. I hate the freaking camera man that keeps moving the camera in diffrent angles. The people talk in a movie tone voice. Fake blood. Fake fans. They have to pay the fans to come.
