Well I've never had a baby before and i was wondering how would i know if i'm pregnant (while getting a period). I've heard its getting to be more common. I'm gaining weight but i thought i was before and it was all just in my head. Help!

no hun that is very rare not common. If you have your period you are not pregnant. The reason why you have your period is bc an egg passed and no sperm so no pregnancy so your body gets rid of what would of protected the baby. Gaining weight during your period is normal. If you do not have your period is when you need to worry and then you need to take a test.

You can be pregnant and still have what appears to be a monthly period. This happened to me, and it caused my pregnancy tests to come back undetermined. I was 5 months along before the periods stopped. When this happened, my pregnancy test came back positive. No it was not spotting, as it came at the same time my normal period would come, and last for the same length of time. My breasts started changing and getting bigger, and the area around my nipples turning dark and bigger, and I started having weird cravings. I also looked swollen, as you do when you are about to begin your period. I did sports a lot so I wasn`t even showing until my 7th month. This really had the doctors scratching their heads. I gave birth to my daughter Mikel 4 months later.

my mother had her period the whole time she was pregnant with me and didn't know about me till she was 6 months gone went to doctor to lose wieght and got the news

If you still have your period you are not pregnant.
