what do you think is the most inexpensive yet efficient service?

If you want cheap dial-up, I've used the basic Netscape (not web accelertor) for $5.95 per month without any issues. The web accelerator seems to actually slow things down so not worth it. Get disks in the stores for 30-day free trial.

Right now it seems to be verizon DSL with 15 dollar a month 750k download speed. For 20 bucks you can receive up to 1.5 meg speeds! I dont use it myself but have lots of friends who do and it seems to work great!

DSL is highspeed internet, for acheap price. It may not be as fast as others but its also nt oas expensive.
