Brits don't normally say "Have a nice day" I would say its an American expression and quite a nice one too.

It is an American expression not used by the British or many other nationalities to my knowledge.

The Brits have their own expressions - and some of them appear to be regional too - at least that was my experience from living in Britain

British only use the expression jokingly

Most of us Britons only use the term "Have a nice day!" in a sarcastic way - usually with an outrageous fake American accent..!

The Brits I've encountered usually feel this is an Americanism, but they might use it with Americans if they choose.
