The person she's in love with is selfish and is leading her on. At the same time she's living with the ex and only takes from her. My friend is on the needy-depressed side. How can I get through to her?

women like that don't know love, they confuse lust with love. unfortunatly there is nothing you can do, she is going to continue getting into uneven relationships and being put down, it is up to HER to pull herself out of this. no matter what you say, it isnt going to help, she is just going to go to another guy that is exactly the same.

1. Ask another friend to call her and pretend that she's her boyfriend's girlfriend. tell her to say something that would destroy the man's reputation... if he has any.

2. Look for another guy that you think will like her.
3. get her to attend parties so she can socialize with other man.
4. take a vacation. Don't bring any cellphone. Time to reflect.

She will only resent you if you try to convince her of these things. "School of Hard Knocks" is often the best method of teaching. She has to be able to come to this conclusion on her own.

i don't know right now if she is willing to take your advice. she must be very lonely. i would tell her, in a bottom line. "men don't make you happy, guess what makes you happy,? YOU" and say try it, you might grow up to like it.
