He had an immediate positive benefit, until everyone figured out he was a liar and never went after the people responsible! He attacks Iraq and has body bags shipped home daily for 3 1/2 years at the cost of 3/4 Trillion he refuses to add to the deficit, and Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11, it wasn't in league with any terrorist, and he had no WMD's either!
Oil companies pay between 2 and 5% of their profits in taxes, while they gouge us at the pumps to become the biggest money makers in America! Where can I get that tax deal?
Funny that prices dropped 2 weeks before the election, and they will go right back up after it!
The only good thing is BUSH CAN"T WIN THE ELECTION!! And his stealing brother Jeb, who took government money in the S&L 2,1 Trillion dollar debacle, and cheats on his wife, hopefully is smart enough to stay out of the race! Who would want to vote for a man that rigged an election?

Your first question--did Bush benefit politically from 9/11--is like asking if the sun rose yesterday. That's a far cry from setting it up. As much as I despise Bush as a politician, I can't believe he would authorize mass murder of Americans, or get away with it if he did. I also think the administration was grossly negligent in not following up on Clinton's plan for a ground attack on Osama Bin Laden and pre-9/11 intelligence.

Bush may have gained temporary popularity in the US but he exposed the US weakness to the whole world with his "super intelligence". He has lost all the credibility US enjoyed pre-war. His war on Iraq and Afghanistan was a total disaster and an on going nightmare for the American forces. He is a total embarrassment to the American people. As a world leader........., god save as from his terrorism. I hope future American presidents learn from this experience and correct there mistakes for a better tomorrow.

You do realize the government has been using Halliburton for years. They do billions in business. Mostly because they are one of only a couple of companies that do what they do. Bechtel got a lot of money too but they are the only company in the world capable of handling huge projects. As bush and Cheney have no connections to these companies where is they money. Cheney gave up a secure job where he was getting millions and he did not have to hide it as he would now you are suggesting a huge money laundering nightmare for what could not be more than what he already got in salary and stock. And by selling his stock before the invasion I guess he lost millions more.

the guys who owned the buildings made 3 billion dollars in one night
Bush could change the constitution ,just like Hitler did ,with his parlement bomming (because the public had a fright)and this tactic has been used over and over again right through history ,nero burned rome ,blamed the jews and became much more powerfull over niht,
it is amazing that people are fooled over and over again.
and they will be again and again in the future byb the same strategy ,scare them then safe them.but first change the laws.
all that is happening in the Middle east is a circus to distract the people of what they are realy up to

George Bush tremendously benefitted from 9/11 because of the media mileage that was focused on him as US president.

One time Bush even said he won the trifecta, look it up.
He may have benefited from the attack, but he sure screwed up since then.
