I assume you mean the address bar for your browser and not for Explorer (exploring what's on your local system).
If such is the case then you need only to clear your history. This will however clear your entire history. If you want to only remove specific things then you could try going into your home directory (the directory for your username underneath Documents and Settings) and then inside Local Settings is the History directory. You should be able to delete things from there directly but I've never tried.
You can also set your computer to not keep a history or there are plug ins you can get for your browser if you're trying to get extra privacy. Search the web :)

Yes... On the menu bar on internet explorer go to TOOLS>>Internet Options>>>and click DELETE under browsing history...

i'm assuming you are operating on windows explorer. above the address bar click on "tools" then go to internet options. the "general" tab go to the section that reads "history" then click "clear history".
