I am running windows XP. I try to get onto yahoo blackjack and when I come to "click here to continue" after logging in, IE just shuts down. I also have this problem with accessing other pages. It also shuts down when I tried to click on Sun Java Console from Tools on IE. I can get into my mail, roadrunner accounts, myspace, and browse most anything. It happens when certain pages are trying to load. I have ran AVG and Ad aware SE. I have also scanned with Trend Micro housecall and Microsoft. No virus or spyware is found.I did a system restore and that didn't help. I noticed too that I now get a black box on startup that has C:WINDOWS\system32\cmd.exe on my desktop. It goes away after a few seconds.I have ran disk clean up and everything else I can think of, but the problem still occurs. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

try an updated version of adaware. I know you said you used a spyware program already but this sounds like a problem i had with my computer.

Do you happen to have Spamzilla or Stopzilla installed on your system? The newest upgrades on these programs caused a lot of issues. When I uninstalled Stopzilla, all problems stopped. Lots of research on the Internet on this as well.

well, if you want you can try Firefox without uninstalling Explorer and see how it goes. Chances are you'll fix your problem in 3 minutes and will never look back:)
You can get it from here, as well as Picasa, both free to keep :)
